    The lightweight 911 Carrera RS was first introduced in 1992, and was based on the Carrera Cup race car and featured a revised engine that offered 260 bhp, a closer ratio 5 speed G50/10 gearbox, an asymmetrical Limited Slip Differential and steel syncromesh.

    The suspension was track orientated too, with 40mm lower ride height and stiffer springs, shocks and adjustable stabiliser bars. The minimalist interior has every ounce of extra weight removed and racing bucket seats fitted. The aluminium bonnet and ultra light 17" magnesium Cup wheels also contributed to the weight savings.

    Designed to enable owners to use their car on the road, track, hillclimb or sprint, the body shell was stronger and lighter with seam welding, lighter doors and 3mm versus 4.7mm side windows, a lightweight rear bumper, an inbuilt battery cut off switch and 911 Turbo front brakes brakes with retuned ABS.

    This 911 Carrera RS (964) is presented in the striking colour scheme of Rubystone Red with triple tone leather bucket seats.

    It has driven 79,487 km (49,390 miles) from new in 1992.
